Due to the ongoing security situation in the Middle East, including the highly volatile maritime security environment in and around the Strait of Hormuz, global supply chains are experiencing significant disruptions. 

As regional instability continues to present elevated threats to commercial shipping, operational adjustments may become necessary to ensure the safety of vessels, crew members, and cargo. 

As a result, our service schedules, routes and transit times may be impacted and we kindly ask for your understanding should any delays, schedule changes, or related cost increases occur as an unintended consequence of these circumstances which are beyond our control. Nevertheless, HMM will continue to take all reasonably available and appropriate measures to safeguard our vessels, crew, and your cargo. 

HMM is monitoring developments and remains in contact with the relevant authorities to assess the position and determine appropriate response measures. 

In an attempt to minimize disruption, HMM is developing contingency plans and evaluating alternative operational solutions, in relation to which we will endeavour to keep you informed as soon as further details becomes available. Notwithstanding this, HMM can give no guarantee regarding specific transit times nor the continuity of any particular service route. 

For the avoidance of doubt, any actions taken (or not taken) by HMM in response to the current situation, and all services provided, shall be in accordance with and be subject and/or without prejudice to the terms and conditions of the applicable HMM bill of lading. In the event of any conflict between this advisory and the relevant bill of lading, the terms and conditions set forth on the reverse side of the bill shall prevail and remain in full force and effect, including but not limited to the liberties, limitations, and exclusions of liability clauses set out therein.
