Since the start of tanker business with three VLCC in 1976, we operate various type of tanker, such as crude oil carriers, vessels for petroleum products, LNG carriers, etc. Based on long-term contracts, HMM carries tanker cargo from the Middle East, West Africa and the Caribbean region to Far East Asia, the United States and Europe region.
All our VLCCs have scrubbers installed to respond to both global environmental issues and reduction of fuel expenses. Targeting ‘2050 Net Zero’, the tanker business also expands eco-friendly vessels and the fleet management system.

Product Tanker
With mainly 50,000 DWT class ships, we provide cast polypropylene (CPP) transportation services to major customers such as global refineries, petrochemical companies and trailers. Starting with the 75,000 DWT class LR1 vessel in 1995, HMM has operated a various size and type of chemical carriers such 100,000 DWT class LR2 vessel. HMM is increasing profitability in the petroleum (product) tanker market based on our long-accumulated experiences and know-how.

LNG Carrier
HMM is engaged in the business of transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the United States, Australia and Russia.

LPG Carrier
HMM has resumed its LPG/Ammonia maritime transportation business in January 2025 through the acquisition of one MGC vessel (Guadalupe Explorer).
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand into clean ammonia maritime transportation and aims to secure a fleet of ten LPG/ammonia carriers by 2030, bolstering its operations in both domestic and global markets.
